Mice!

Postby Georgie3 » Tue Jan 14, 2014 1:58 pm

Hi
I have mice - can anyone recommend a pest control company to help me? I would like someone to help get rid of them, and to prevent them coming back.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

I think I've heard that the council's budget for pest control has been cut down. So it might take a couple of weeks until they manage to send a team at your home.
Last year I also had a mice infestation and then a colleague recommended me Panther Pest Control. The guys did an excellent job so if your problem continues you can give them a call on 020 3404 5177 or contact them online: http://www.pantherpestcontrol.co.uk/mice-control/

you have to block up all entry points - ahead of anything.
after that - put poison down - and wait for the smell.
they can squeeze through the tiniest of holes, and if you are in a terraced property, there may well be routes through the old party walls - the only way to solve this one would be to take up floors and render/seal the party walls.
We were delighted when we heard we had mice - as it meant we had killed all the rats (no joke)!
we usually always see rats on sites we work on - and when you walk along typical London streets you can see so many ingress points for the cheeky blighters! You must buy 5mm metal mesh and fit it tight to any air bricks etc.
Good luck!

Thank you for your reply - that is really helpful. You are right I think they are coming from next door, a bit run down and a great source of food! We have tried to fill all the holes with wire wool.
Thanks again.

You can put talc down to see where they come in - and follow them around. I would say most houses in london have rats or mice - below the floor. Enjoy.
