Shopping with under fives

Postby Teddersmum » Thu Apr 03, 2014 7:26 pm

Anyone got any tips? Hellish trip to Westfield today. My four year old was actually v good but my two year old spent most of the time screaming to get out of the buggy and when I let her refused to hold my hand. I stopped for a long child friendly lunch, only went to a few of shops and didn't push it but still felt very stressful. Feel I don't want to avoid shopping with them as we do need to go occasionally and can't all be play parks etc in the holidays.

I feel for you. One of mine had a wee accident while the other was having a tantrum at the same time while out shopping in a nice local department store. I wanted the ground to swallow me up and didn't venture out again for some months! However, you are right it does get easier as they get older.

No no no, impossible! Hell on earth, to be avoided at all cost. I know exactly what you mean. I have two year old twin boys and westfields at this age, well a nightmare if I actually thought for a minute I could look for something or dare to try anything on. Maybe get a sitter and enjoy an hour or two round the shops on your own!?
