GP and Dentist in Teddington

Postby catjelly » Fri Apr 11, 2014 10:39 am

Hi there

I have just moved to Teddington and have to start over finding a doctor and dentist for my family. It took me years to find brilliant ones where I used to live so am feeling a bit desperate as to how long this might take!! So, I'm wondering if anyone could recommend any lovely but very good ones in Teddington. Thank you in advance!

Were use Thameside and have been very happy with them. Try to see dr Child's or Dr de Bruyne. If you ring at 8.30am you can always get an appointment that day and they have always seen my two young children the same day if ever I have needed no matter what time I have rang. Dr Child's also rang me at home late Friday evening before Christmas with my LO's blood test results so I wouldn't have to wait or worry over the holiday period.

Dentist wise we use The practice in mortlake on worpole way. It is private but U5s are free. Interested to hear about Teddington recommendations too though as haven't been brave enough to move yet.

Teddersmum - thank you for your help! I'm on the phone to Thameside tomorrow!

Let's see if we get any great dentist recommendations. I have to say I'm surprised how many dentists I've seen whilst I've been walking through the town - Malo, Park Road, AromaDean, and one I can't quite remember what it's called but I noticed the dentist was from Sydney so I instantly conjured up a smiley happy kind of person!

Hi
We've registered the whole family with Malo Clinic and have been going there for years. It's a really nice practice and Su is lovely with nervous patients. My son used to be a bit anxious but she had such a lovely nature that he very quickly grew out of it.

I also needed to have some implant work done, my son recently needed braces and the different specialists there were excellent. A really good service all round.

I am someone who is terrified of dentists but the church road dental care centre are amazing. I see Carolyn and she has been fantastic.
I think children can be registered under NHS, they have certain days and times for children to attend free.

I have had two experiences with the NHS dentist in Teddington they're called the teddington dental practice and I wouldn't recommend them to my worse enemy!! Very unprofessional experiences and the staff are very very rude.

Hope this helps :)

Thank you for your recommendations! Teddersmum I'm confused though....I read some terrible reviews of Thameside :? !!

I'm glad there are so many good dentists in town. Does anyone have any experience with Aromaden on the High Street? It looks so boutique-y that I can't take it seriously as a dentist but at the same time I'd quite like to go somewhere vaguely glamorous when it comes to teeth!

All other suggestions greatly appreciated as I'm new to Teddington and I don't have any friends yet who can make recommendations!

Mike Deasy @ bushyparkdental.co.uk is very calming and gentle. He does only private work.

catjelly yes I have seen some bad reviews too but I can't fault Dr Child's and Dr De Bruyne, although wasn't impressed with dr Kendall who has now retired. Often long waiting times for both but then they never rush your own appointment. The other thing I would say is if you have kids there is a lot to be said for being with your closest GP!

I have been a patient at Confidental Practice in Surbiton for over 10 years ( they used to be called The Cottage Practice ) and I can only recommend them. They are so good with my two oldest children. They also have free parking at the front of the practice, very useful when I need to attend with my newborn.
