Anyone recommend an excellent self-employed plumber?

Postby GreyingDad » Thu Sep 30, 2010 5:42 pm

Hi All - me again !

I am about to start some refurbishment work at my house which will require replacing the gas boiler and other plumbing alterations. Does anyone out there have any recommendations ?

I must confess to being frustrated at getting quotes from companies who massively load up their employees' day rates. Hence I am looking for a really skilled self-employed craftsman, with great references and willing to accept a sensible day rate for their labours.

Thanks in advance

I am a fully qualified, Gas Safe registered plumber. I live Between the Commons and have done lots of jobs for families in SW11 and the surrounding areas. Having worked for Pimlico Plumbers for three years (and featured in the BBC documentary 'Posh Plumbers!), I am now self employed. Most of my work comes as a result of recommendations from previous customers.
I am reliable, polite and tidy - I carry out all jobs to the highest standard, whilst charging reasonable prices.

Please give me a call if you are in need of a decent plumber.

hey there, my other half is a qualified plumber and builder and is self employed. His name is Tom Allen and is based in Wandsworth Town. He's very good (of course I would say this anyway, but seriously....) has been working in the trade for 25-30 years so very experienced and very reasonable, especially compared to the big companies.

Anyways let me know if you are still looking or interested. He would visit to meet you and and have a look at no charge.
