Builders dumping rubbish

Postby Mummykane » Fri Apr 25, 2014 2:56 pm

I am very angry I saw a group of polish builders in a green van on both hydethorpe road & Haverhill rd sw12. I would like to ask if anyone has had a staircase ripped out recently as these charming builders have just dumped it all outside my house! I'm angry as I didn't get the number plate of their van.
I have contacted both the police & the council about this as I'm am sick to death of people constantly using my property as a dumping ground!

If you do have builders can you please explain there is a tip in both Lambeth & wandsworth boroughs.

Many Thanks

Could I ask how you know that the individuals who dumped the rubbish are Polish?

I was waiting for that response not that it matters that they have just dumped an entire staircase outside my property.
For the record I could hear them speaking & whilst I'm not a professional language specialist I could hear they were polish!
Many thanks for your concern!

Hi SpursMummy,

Sorry to hear about what’s happened. There’s a lot of cases like this since the ‘skip tax’ has been introduced. Its very annoying that some people in our industry are creating a bad name for all of us.

Wandsworth Council is ideally your best port of call in order to raise awareness and get the problem eradicated - 020 8871 6000.

If a week from now the rubbish is still there give us a call and we will remove it for half price.

I am sorry to hear this. Earlier in the week I reported a similar fly tip just around the corner from you on Burnbury Road. Lambeth Council removed it within half a day. It was clearly waste from a renovation - plasterboard, a loo, old kitchen or bathroom units.
