Helping new au pair make friends Post Reply

Hi

We are currently interviewing for an Au Pair to start in August - i am keen to help them settle into the area as much as possible and will be actively encouraging them to make friends in the area and to go out, have fun etc

I would be keen to hear from any local au pairs, or anyone with an au pair, if there are any local networks (maybe a FB page?) etc or meets up that i could introduce them to?

Or if you are an Au Pair and would be willing to introduce them to the area please do drop me a line

we have a lovely Spanish au pair who is always keen to meet new friends. When she started I had a couple of phone numbers of other local au pairs which I gave her and she immediately contacted them and made friends. She does a course at college to where she meets people. When you know when she's coming let me know. We are away a bit in August but I'm sure we can organise something.
