Architect recommendation pls!

Postby asmtwill » Wed May 07, 2014 7:41 pm

Hello local mums,

we recently moved in clapham area and found this website, very excited to be part of the local community! We would like to do some building work on our property (rear extension + loft), very keen to know if any local mums can recommend a good architect for us. thanks a lot!!!

Paul Draper, used him twice. Have recommended to friends too.
Mail@pddesigns.co.uk. He is based up north, but is a local chap originally, and does most of his work down here.

Hi asmtwill
I have PMed you. Paul Draper does work a lot in the area but is a structural engineer, not an architect. Having an architect on board when you embark on such a large project.

I mean having an architect on board for such a large project is a good idea. Not sure a structural engineer is enough...

Hi asmtwill,

I'd recommend Thomas & Spiers Architects - they've done a lot of work in this area. I am biased as I'm married to one of them though.

This is the website:

Hi ajcmullin,

We have been doing some work with a local company Tristram Design & Build - there are some good case studies on this page on their website:
