Hello, We seem to have experienced an increased in mice evidence and sightings at home. Traps with chocolate or peanut butter are being avoided and wire wool not quite doing the trick. Any child friendly tips please?! Thanks in advance

We had a similar problem last year. We used a combination of lavender oil (apparently mice hate the smell) and a sonic mouse repellant, and within about a week, we were mouse free. Good luck!

We bought a plug-in from Homebase that sends out a signal and it seems to have very effective. When we first moved into our new house we saw mice and there were droppings but since using the repellent we've not seen anything.

There have been comments about children and dogs being able to hear the sound but we didn't have that experience with our child. As we don't have a dog I can't comment on that.

Whatever method you decide to use please make it one that is humane.

We had mice that were feeding quite happily with the poison (from the council pest controller who left them). So we cleaned up all the poison, have all of the holes blocked (or so we thought) and at the same time we put this repeller on. No sign of mice for ages. Husband decided to switch this off 2 weeks ago and droppings reappeared out of the sudden. So I switched it back on again and no sign of mice now.

The previous comment on ultrasonic only effective in the immediate area etc is true. This repeller has both ultrasonic + electromagnetic effects, with the latter driving the mice away from the house.

So I think it does work, yes.

Get a cat! Environmentally sound, child safe (in fact the children love 'em) and a great mouse deterrent. We've always had a cat and never had any mouse problems
