Good Chinese take away

Postby pixi » Fri May 30, 2014 2:45 pm

Can anyone recommend a good Chinese take away that delivers to the Northcote rd area? We've already tried Good Earth, would like to try something else...
Thanks

Personally I think there is a real need for an above average chinese delivery in the Clapham area.

Apart from Good Earth, nothing has struck me as something to write about, however my friend has mentioned Xiong Mao before.

If you can get out and about and like Beijing dumplings, then head to Mama Lans on Clapham Common, it is wonderful.

Tsunami also do delivery, strictly it's Japanese and pretty pricey, but the food is good.

Also if you like Vietnamese, The paddyfield is great and www.mydeliverycab.co.uk will pick it up for you and deliver ( they also pick up from other restaurants rather than takeaways so the quality tends to be better)

Hopefully someone else will know of a great chinese delivery in the area.

We've recently discovered Firecracker, and really like them.

I used to live in Hong Kong so am pretty picky

Chinese Kitchen on Falcon Road is pretty good for basics - and fast!

Bento on Battersea Bridge Road is almost excellent ( does some thai stuff as well) the Vietnamese Pork salad - hmmmmmmmmmm

Golden Palace on Garratt Lane is good as well - their aubergine dish is lovely

I think the best is China Boulevard by Wandsworth Bridge - proper China Town restaurant food - you can tell it is good as the restaurant is usually full of Chinese people eating - which is how I judge a Chinese restaurant - full of Europeans - avoid - full of Chinese expect it will be good...
