It's just after seven on a Saturday morning and what do you do whilst feeding your baby? You read NVN. Anyway delightfully surprised when I came across this photo competition post of Sacha de Klerk as I used her for my bump and newborn shoot and loved the experience so thought I'd give her a bit of a mention. The shoot package was a very generous gift from friends and I accepted with a bit of trepidation as I'm not very keen on having photos taken of myself if I can't stick my tongue out, and I've also seen some rather cheesy maternity shoots which are a big no-no for me.
The bump shoot was amazing , with 8 wks to go until DD I wasn't feeling particularly photo ready but Sacha set things up in a flash, had me lift my chin rather frequently and I must say the final result is amazing. It's still me but just so natural and I'm very happy to show the pics off to all who want to see. A great keepsake and to show my little one what mummy looked like when she was in her tummy. As for the baby shoot it was just an experience watching her work on the day. Sacha had great ideas, and I loved the props she used, although my favourite photo is definitely the natural, curled up on a comfy blanket one. I couldn't believe how things just happened and she didn't miss a beat when said little one projectile pooped all over her (I was secretly impressed with my baby's pooping capability).
If like me you're not too sure about this photo shoot malarkey, believe me when I say it will be one of the best decisions you ever make - your family will love them, your husband will adore them and you'll be smitten over and over again. You won't regret it.
