Employment lawyer recommendation....

Postby schoolssoconfusing » Mon Jun 09, 2014 3:40 pm

All,

I'm posting on behalf of my husband who has recently worked with Jo and can't speak highly enough of her services. He recently faced the prospect of redundancy along with some of his colleagues.

The situation (isn't it always?) was complicated but Jo made the process as painless and as straightforward as possible, providing invaluable support during this traumatic time. Jo acted for the group facing redundancy as a whole in order to address their collective concerns and then on an individual basis to tackle each of their specific circumstances.

The net result was that he felt absolutely in control during this wretched time and the redundancy package that was negotiated for him and his colleagues was far greater than was being originally offered. By all accounts Jo was approachable, responsive and more importantly pragmatic throughout the process.

My husband would be happy to provide a personal reference if you would like - just contact me and I will put you in touch directly. Thanks Jo!

Hi there

Thank you very much for this! I hasten to add that I am not claiming the compliment randomly, your husband very kindly mentioned you would post this, and the lady who runs NVN just sent me a link to it via Twitter, so I wanted to reply to identify myself and say thank you!

For anyone else/any businesses needing Employment law advice, my details are here:

http://www.smab.co.uk/people/employees/ ... artin.aspx

and another post with other references for me left by (very lovely) NVN users is here:

I'm always happy to have a free, confidential initial chat, so do get in touch if you need to.

Thanks again for the kind words.

Jo

I would like to add my positive recommendation for Jo's services. When my previous employer tried to fire me during maternity leave, I went through a list of lawyers recommended to me. Although I spoke to many of them, I decided to sign with Jo. She was the only one, who gave me advice on that first phone call, she engaged immediately with my issue, and without me saying anything, offered to lower her fees, as we were both mums and I was recommended through a friend of hers.
She was brilliant in all our dealings, including her assertive communication with my former employer, a very difficult partner. She was always swift to inform when she would be unavailable, or out of office so I wouldn't stress by not being able to reach her. She explained very clearly all the issues involved and offered good quality advice. She was absolutely formidable and would recommend her unreservedly.
