Hello all

Just a reminder for our second meeting tomorrow at 1 pm at the Old School Club (Lavender Hill)

http://www.theoldschoolclub.co.uk/about ... o-find-us/

All welcome!

@zozodarling2011 I believe a FB group is being created. We'll get an update tomorrow on this.

See you tomorrow

Hi Everyone
Delighted this is taking off!

Would I be able to pop along tomorrow?

Totally understand that a FB "Group" is probably the best way to go for confidential communication but wondering if we have an association with NVN then we can funnel new members your way once set up.

:-)

Hello!

looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow ..
little babes and kids are very welcome as there is a creche with soft play area so they can play whilst we "work". Nice coffee and tea also available. I will have some cake too.

Just FYI - we are in unit 141 in the Battersea Business Centre. It is 5 minutes walk from the BAC, or buses 77, 87, 156 and 345 from Clapham junction. When you come into the business centre, go towards the parking on your left, we are inside the large blue warehouse in front of you. It looks like the Ritz, but without the posh lights :-)

See you tomorrow!

Hello!

thank you everyone for coming! It was a good meeting and lots of great input too!

There were also a few questions about the location. I am very happy to host it here but I also understand if people want to be nearer Northcote road.

The pros for doing it here:
- The place is for ourselves (i.e. it is quiet, no other people around us!)
- There is a lovely creche so if any of the mums come with children, they can play whilst we meet up.
- We don't need to ask for permission or to book in advance and we can fit a large number of people with no problem ..
- It is a fixed venue so if someone misses a meeting they always know where to go!

The main concerns about meeting in a pub or cafe are: reliability, we will need to book an area and if we meet up at lunch time they may ask us to "order lunch" - as it will be a large area occupied by coffee drinkers! - and that we will need to confirm the venue before every meeting.

Up to you! votes please :-)

OH! next meeting is on the 10th of July! (At The Old School Club until we decide about the venue).

x

Thanks Imna,
happy to go with the majority & if anyone has any suggestions then...... but if I had to vote, I would choose Old School Club for the reasons Imna stated.

Could I also propose that we follow each other on twitter & fb (& others where relevant) while we await the nappy valley network to be set up.

Thanks Inma

I would prefer Northcote Road, just because it's closer to me but I will also go with the majority and am happy with the Old School Club.

Rhiannon - I'm up for your suggestion of liking each others pages etc.and have just liked yours :)

Hello there

The time for our next meeting is fast approaching...tomorrow at 1 pm.

Any more views on Old school club v. Northcote road?

The Old school club is a great place, and I agree with all Inma's points, but living myself at the broomwood end of Northcote road, it might be a stretch for me on busy days...

Hello

Sorry I couldn't make last week.

How about seeing if we could have exclusive use of the Northcote Patisserie for one hour each Thursday for example. Located opposite Northcote library. This would of course mean buying coffees but am sure most people are happy with that.

Just a thought approaching a cafe or even a pub to see if a room might be available for hire on the basis that we just consume some coffees/drinks.

Hi all

unfortunately I'm not going to be able to make it to the meeting tomorrow as I'm doing a show.

In terms of location whilst I prefer Northcote Road as it's closer to home, for me Old School is probably better as I'll have my children with me (summer hols!) and there is a creche they can entertain themselves in.

Hopefully see you at the next meeting!

ps. Rhiannon - yes to liking each others pages, although I've liked your for ages already!
