Life for mummies in Wimbledon Park

Postby Wimblesatheart » Sun Jul 13, 2014 1:16 pm

Hello there, I've just stumbled upon this website, and thought it might be very useful in helping me solve a little dilemma I'm having. I lived in Wimbledon village for 5 years, and moved out to move to kent (where I'm from)when I was 6 months pregnant believing that it was the right thing to do as we were having a baby i.e. bigger house, more countryside etc. Our daughter is now 19 months old and My husband and I miss wimbledon... so we're considering back to wimbledon and living in wimbledon park.

So...I was wondering what life was life with babies/toddlers in wimbledon park? Is it a friendly place to be?

Thank you in advance

Oooh yes, Wimbledon still rocks! I'm a Wimbledon-Park resident.
It's very baby/toddler friendly and you can't really go far wrong with Wimbledon Park (the actual park) with its sandpit, splash pool, play areas, tennis courts, cafe, loads of space etc. Then of course there's Cannizaro which I'm sure you know which is lovely with my little one (2.5yrs), very safe, lots to see and very peaceful. There's heaps of music groups if that's your thing but best of all I think, is the feeling of being in London but still keeping a lovely town/village, safe feel.

All the best!
