Another thumbs up for Kathryn Mewes. I have passed her name on to many mums who have contacted me initially (but I generally only work with Tiny Smalls up to about 6 months old!) and the feedback has always been fantastic. Hope you get some sleep soon. ;)

I so know how you feel. The lack of sleep I had when my daughter was a baby had a very real effect and it led to PND.

I used a lovely lady called Mandy Guerny at Milpond sleep clinic. She does telephone consultations and puts a plan in place after you keep a sleep diary. She won't make you do cry it out if you're not happy with it.

It's about £250, but it's really worth it.

Good luck and trust me it does get easier. After about 4 nights things were already improving.

Hello. I'm new to this forum. I read your story and felt compelled to reply to you. My boy is a lot younger than yours but I was beginning to feel very down with the lack of sleep. We had tried several adjustments to our consistent bedtime routine, had got rid of sleep crutches like the swaddle and rocking. But still bedtime was a battle and I was up several times a night, usually after four i would take him into bed with me.

A friend recommended Infant sleep consultants. I got in touch with Annie and she came and stayed for a night. In just one night, I learnt so much from her and by the morning we had come up with a plan and a consistent way to handle the multiple night wakings. Another mum friend had Katie stay with her for a night to help her son and had great results too. They were two very different strategies for two babies of the same age which goes to show they really do look at your family and your baby as an individual and unique case and do not subscribe to a one method fits all.

We are three weeks in to sleep training and Henry is doing great. Still wakes once or twice but that's better than eight or nine. He naps beautifully in the day now and the best thing, he is so much happier. And so am I.

Please feel free to message me if you want to know anything else. But I can honestly say, the best money I have ever ever spent.

Good luck x
