maternity nursing

Postby Nanylookingtotemp » Fri Aug 15, 2014 1:35 pm

Hi All,

I have just obtained my Post Natal Maternity Nurse qualification. I am currently nannying for two wonderful families with whom i know i want to stay with for some time more but i would also like to get an insight into the MN world.

I was wondering if perhaps it is possible to shadow a MN or would families consider taking on a MN for one day cover for free to help them gain experience?? Any insight into this would be great. I do have quite good experience with Newborns my last two nanny positions started with babies been 3 & 4 weeks old.

As i said this isn't something i want to do straight away but would love to get some experience.

Any advice will be much appreciated! Thank you!

My advice to you would be to pay 20 pound for a months membership on ********* and message some Mums through that

There are parents on there who would pay you less for the odd day / weekend etc to build up exp

One mum on there is looking for help with three month old twins.. I was just reading her profile

Good luck
