With those leases and prices no small business can ever dream of starting or keeping a business. When I was looking for premises I was shocked about the prices and I decided to go further afield.

I am not in Northcote road, but I have a very large space/workshop area and I wouldn't change it for anything. I don't particularly like being in a business centre, but it gives me other benefits - and space. People should also consider this when looking for shops, activities, etc .. we are not all in northcote road!

On a different note .. I buy in the butcher and the fishmonger stall. I don't think there is a big difference in price compared to the quality they offer. I also use the fruit stall next to costa - the fruit was superb last week. The only thing is that you may get carried away and buy more because you see what it is available .. but just stick to your budget and that is it.

I walked past La Cusiniere and it will be a Lords of Notting Hill Shop - similar to La Cusiniere I guess? So glad its going to be a useful shop and not another estate agent / coffee shop !

Any more news on the other empty shops ? I still would love a White Company and I think it would do so well on Northcote road.

Apparently the Masa site is now under offer with another tenant waiting in the wings, so that will definitely become something else. Not sure what though.
