Ideas for activities with one year olds

Postby GreenyBaby » Thu Dec 30, 2010 9:36 am

Just been to the new Bee's Knees Cafe (Battersea Art's Theatre). It's great for people with young kids - an indoor garden (hill for little ones to climb with a slide), toys and arts and crafts plus they have entertainers coming in at 10.15 and 12.15 most days. Can't take your buggy in (have to leave in indoor buggy park) so not great for meeting with babies - but perfect for toddlers. Please support it as it won't continue unless it pays its way. :D

I'm really pleased to hear this is good and will definitely be taking my toddler in the New Year as we live very close by. I had no idea it was there until I walked past and saw the new signs advertising it which they've put up outside the BAC.

Hi

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to the question about entertainers at weekends but I did want to write my support. The Bees Knees cafe has been a huge success (I have no idea about financial success for BAC) but is unfortunatly temporary, the last I heard was it will close at the end of January. It is such a shame, we have used it several times in the last month whilst it has been open and my kids (2,2 and 5) absolutely love it! as does my au pair! It also seems always busy. I spoke to the lady at the desk on the way in last week and asked, as it had been such a success would they consider making it a more permenant fixture, which she replied no she didn't think so but possibly something else like it at the next school holidays. If anyone from BAC is reading this - the cafe is fab, please keep it open!

I went there on the weekend and thought it was absolutely fantastic.

I can't believe we have nothing else like this in this area with all the under 5's we have!

I wish it would stay open. The girl working on the weekend said that its due to close this coming saturday which is such a shame. :(

Also, if they wanted to ensure it pays its way they could increase the prices as mugs of coffee and tea are only 50p!!

Would love to bring my 5 month old but would she be too young for it? Is it only for toddlers?
