Recommendations for managing my rental flat Post Reply

I am looking for a property management company to look after a 2 bed rental flat in Clapham. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

We have used James Pendleton, do NOT however use Realm Estates, there are lots of posts on this site about who to use & not use.

A friend of a friend has used an independent woman called Helena Jackson who runs HJPM and is based in Earlsfield somewhere. She has been pretty happy as shes not a big estate agent, just managed properties and the rates are different, you pay for the time that is used on your property not just a whacking fee for possibly not doing much at all if you have good tenants....

Thanks very much for that. I would be interested to hear if anyone else has had experience of using a company who only manages properties and who is not an estate agent.

Have happily used www.manage-my-property.co.uk for many years. The owner (Andy) is a good guy.

I would recommend Lucie at Light Intervention or Mark Hillier, who are both local professionals.

Both are wonderful with owners and tenants.

I think going with an estate agent is much too pricey and I've found that they tend to use more expensive contractors when handling problems.

Hi there

I could not recommend Rachel and her team at Hamptoms Balham more. We found them to be incredibly professional and refreshingly honest.

They really know their stuff - first estate agents that I ever felt I was actually listened to. Certainly worth giving them a call.
