Local conveyancing solicitor recommendation

Postby SkippyGirl » Mon Feb 03, 2014 2:06 pm

Any recommendations for a local solicitor for conveyancing? The property is not a premium property by any means so we don't need a super expensive solicitor ;)

Hi I work for a company called Sutton-Mattocks in Barnes who specialise in conveyancing. www.suttonmattocks.co.uk.

The senior partner Jonathan Walsh is excellent and would be able to give you a quote his email address is jpjw@suttonmattocks.co.uk.

Thanks
Rionne

I can't think of anyone better than Lorraine Sospleigh-Moore from Blatchfords in North Harrow. She is great - funny, patient, thorough and a real iron fist in a velvet glove. I have used her personally on several sales and purchases.

Haven't got her number to hand right now but you can find her quite easily if you google them.

I am an ex estate agent and also recommended her to all my previous clients. (I have nothing to gain from recommending her but have had hundreds of deals in the past using utterly rubbish solicitors so am PASSIONATE about recommending good people)

And currently recommend her to all my friends who are equally impressed.

Just tell her that Martina Robinson recommended her. (are you allowed to give out full names here? Let's see. Might get a telling off from Annabel!)

Best of luck with your purchase

I bought my house in Clapham using a lovely lady called Sally-Ann at SAM Conveyancing Solicitors- their web is www.samconveyancing.co.uk and direct number is 0207 112 5329. Straight talking and supportive throughout; I had some issues with the property being threatened to be put back on the market as my offer was asking price and there was someone with a higher offer :o

Sally-Ann was great - spoke to the agent and backed me up so I was able to buy at my original offer. I hate all those games being played to eek out another £10,000.

I paid £629 plus the stamp duty and stuff. Made me laugh when the agent suggested theirs at over £1,000.

I would highly recommend Sally-Ann to anyone - hence writing this
