With the 2 year anniversary of our house development approaching I'm appealing again to local mums to see if anyone has heard of, or knows our builder. Disappearing during our project with a substantial amount of our money and leaving our house in a very dangerous position (no roof in December / lethal electrics etc) we are still trying to find him.

Jared Ogilvy of Ogilvy Construction Ltd. A local man but originally from New Zealand. A family man but given what he put my family through that's highly debatable.

Any info gratefully received. Thanks!

I have no idea how you persue this chap legally , but im sure some helpful lawyers on here will anwswer that question ...but a quick search of his name and company came up with this ( I'm sure you have done this already )

Have you checked if he is still at his home address listed on links above ? ? Have you looked for him in Linkedin ? A Facebook share / find request to NZ friends links might help find him , I know that builders in NZ & Australia are strictly licsened and can loose their license for bad workmanship / complaints against them ! I wish you luck in finding him ..

I did a very quick google search of his name and under 192.com it had 3 Jared Ogilvy's listed at various addresses in SW19 and SW15. Looks like all the same person. Didn't have time to research the service this website offers but seems info pulled from the electoral roll.

Not sure where you would begin or what authorities you could turn to for assistance. Probably a good idea to ask locally. Have you tried the SW19 mums facebook pages? There is a mums page for most SW postal codes...you could try a couple.

His brother

That is all i can find, but if you message them and explain what he did to you, they may be able to give you info as to where he is now. Worst case you expose him to his family for what he really is.

Thank you guys for replying. I contacted all the Facebook relatives I could find and only his brother replied at the time. It was sympathetic and then shortly after seemingly discoveri g what his brother had done, decided not to contact us again. They are all based in New Zealand so apart from messaging them, I was powerless to do much else.

I also have his addresses and visited each one. One was vacant woth the neighbours say they had left for New Zealand (but I since hear he is back and trading). the other two had tenants who flatly refused to speak to me or to even confirm they knew who he was. I believe at the time the police had also visited which is possibly why they decided not to speak to me.

Am going to restart the Facebook campaign I think. I have to find the line between innocent enquiry and harassment which I certainly don't want to be accused of!!

I would have lied and pretended to be an old friend trying to get in contact with him and tried to get his phone number and or his address, but that's just me. If you do decide to try again (on another account) perhaps try that? However, they might be suspicious (maybe the older relative less so)?
