Would anyone have a recommendation for a paediatrician who can test for ADHD in SW18 /SW11? Thank you.

We can help refer to an Ed Psych who can do private assessments, if you message me privately. Bear in mind that the definition of ADHD requires the symptoms to be exhibited in multiple settings, so it's not exactly a 'test' in the sense of a blood test that can be done completely independently.

It's also useful to understand what you would hope to get from such a test to be able to best help/advise on options.

Hi halasz
You need a referral to the Developmental Paediatric team at St Georges under Dr Keene and Dr Haywood.
You should be able to get this from your GP, the school SENCO or school Ed Psych, or the Early Years Centre. Preferably all three as that may speed things up if your keen to get the ball rolling.
The department will then assess your child via a series of questionnaires completed by a number of people (yourself, teachers, etc) and diagnose or otherwise.
Both of my boys, now aged 10 and 8, have ADHD and I've worked my way through that system so PM if you want more info.

I agree with the previous post. Referral to paediatric dept. Dr Keene and Dr Haywood are very experienced and very good and it's good to work with the school too.
