Just read an article in The Green Room on Battersea Rise http://thegreenroombattersea.com - looks like an interesting place. Set up by a former Cirque de Soleil guy so it could be entertaining too.

I would recommend Trinity (amazing), the Dairy, The Manor (run by the same people as the Dairy and meant to be amazing), all in the Old Town.

This place on Battersea rise has caught my eye but no idea if it's any good or not as not yet been.

I'd second the Green Room recommendation. We were there this weekend and as a party of 4 treated it as a tasting menu and ordered one of everything.

Delicious ingredients, interesting combinations and a really lively atmosphere. Good bar downstairs with live music for a pre or post dinner g&t too!

A second vote for Sinabro which is excellent. The Chef Yoann is Michelin trained and Sujin Lee epitomises customer service. The food is superb, good value and definitely some of the best I've eaten in 15 years between the commons.

Agree with Sinabro. Always good. I have to say that I had an absolutely abysmal supper at the Green Room. Fish with fried banana? Pork with orange sauce? Not any better in reality than on paper. Having said that, I think they may have sacked the chef and changed the menu, as this was a while back. I still miss Entrée.

I just checked the Green Room website and they have indeed changed their menu. We may be tempted to try again as the space is attractive.

For a special occasion Trinity or for a more relaxed evening (but still amazing food) we loved The Dairy !

Zumbura in the Old Town is an excellent modern Indian and I also love WC - Wine and Charcuterie underneath Clapham Common tube. Clapham and Battersea are becoming more foodie after a bit of a stale period I think.

I love abbeville kitchen on abbeville road, the food is as good as trinity imo. However the decor and atmosphere is quite casual. Trinity feels quite smart and romantic so might be better for an occasion. I have been to Santa Maria del sur once, had a fab steak.. Also quite a casual feel to it.

Trinity every time, personally I much prefer it to chez Bruce which is always slightly disappointing. Need to book a fair way in advance if possible.

Another vote for Lamberts. Much better than Chez B.
