We had a great experience with a company and work shop based in Richmond called Chapel Lane sash windows.
They were supper helpful and although I changed my mind on colour and fittings they still had them ready in 4 weeks, and I got acoustic glass for cheeper than all other quotes.
Im a big fan of buying local and it was so nice to visit the workshop and actually see my windows being made.

I dealt with Patrick who was excellent 07886957354

Happy window shopping xxx

I too had a great experience with Chapel Lane Sash WIndows, glad to see somebody else has recommended them!

I too support local businesses and loved the fact I could visit the workshop where my windows were bring built, I knew I was getting great quality bespoke windows.

Also the guys were happy to answer all my questions and I had loads!

Meant to say I dealt with Gary his number was 07813329681.

So glad we didn't use WSW, though we did have them round to quote but decided to avoid them after reading this post!

We have just ripped some of the WSW windows out, as they were so bad (drafts and noise). Used a company called www.mumfordwood.com who were recommended by my builder.

They were not cheap, but the quality difference between the Wansdworth sash windows are Mumford windows is chalk and cheese. Mumford are very nice windows.

Please don't get caught into the WSW 'nice/efficient' pre-sale (and their nice looking windows in their showroom) . Your windows won't necessarily be like them and you will struggle to get any recompense.

Thank you for the posts to this topic. I am currently taking these rogues to court to claim money back for the most appalling installation of double glazed doors. Stay away! They're complete amateurs. Worst decision ever to have work done by them. The doors don't lock, they're the wrong size and they've damaged our property. Criminals.
