Driving instructor Post Reply

Hiya,
Can anyone recommend a good driving instructor. It must be a woman and I'd like to learn in an automatic.
Embarrassingly due to a car accident as a child I never learnt and now in my forties and expecting my first child in suddenly in the need to learn as quickly as possible.
I have seen a few people post previously but only for manual teachers.

Hiya, just want to watch this post also as I'm also looking to learn in an automatic with baby on the way...I'd be ok with the a male instructor also so hopefully you don't mind if people post both male and female recommendations.

not sure if you are still looking. My husband works with the AA but with a manual car. Maryam (aka Mary) at Britannia is amazing though I think she may be just manual. I had been learning on and off for 27 years (!) and had taken 6 tests, always failing because of nerves but with her I passed in 3 months. I think she has a great track record at getting slightly older women with ishooos through!

My daughter is learning with BSM Wimbledon and the instructor is called Donald. He seems great. She is learning on a manual.
