Great friend of mine is about to launch her company Pipity. It's the best travel solution for kids I've seen (that doesn't involve any screens). She's also in the running for the 'Pitch to Rich' competition. I have seen her cases, books etc and they're absolutely fab... can't wait to get our mitts on them...

Looks interesting but not for planes as it contains scissors.

interesting about the scissors on planes as i had thought that too -but my child unbeknown to me had put her scissors back in her pencil case. On being found going through x ray i was told that as not long they were okay - ( i m not sure of the regulated length but you can take scissors through.

Thanks for your responses... I just panicked and called my friend to say about the scissors. They've checked it all out and the scissors are ok. She's sent me the following:
Pipity Scissors meet UK airports’ required safety length to be included in hand luggage: no longer than 6cm measured from the point where the blades cross (yellow dot on Pipity Scissors)
This has been checked and confirmed and is apparently the case with all major airports!

Thank you Kath for posting about Pipity and for giving me a heads up about the interest on NVN! So exciting to see. The website is due to go live next week, Wednesday fingers crossed. In the meantime still trying to muster as many votes as possible to have a shot at Virgins 'Pitch to Rich' competition... as an entrepreneurial Mum it would be great to get backing from other parents.
