Hi kgarner,

Try this: http://content.met.police.uk/Team/Lambeth/Thornton

If this is not your area, there is a list of contacts for similar teams.

Sorry to be a bit late to the thread, but I wanted to post...

A couple weeks back I woke up about 3am to use the loo and on the way back to bed I took a peek out the window simply to do a random scan up and down the street as previously in the past I have always spotted a bit of mischief of some sort or another going on and without fail, my instincts were right as I saw a gentleman canvassing the cars on both sides of the street rubbing the windshields of various cars on the driver side as well as checking the doors of cars to see if they were locked.

I got a good look at the culprit and immediately phoned 999. Within about 5-7 minutes the police sent two unmarked cars to the area (Tonsleys) and from what I could tell had an undercover officer going up and down the street to see if anyone was hiding in the front terraces.

I'm not sure if the police were lucky enough to apprehend someone, but with all the recent crime / burglaries in the SW18 1 area, I hope there's better surveillance and CCTV in the budget. Anyhow, I just wanted to make people aware to simply keep an eye out in your gardens and on your street in the middle of the night. The more eyes the merrier.

My husband videoed from the house but Brixton police station weren't interested in the footage as they found the USB hard to get to grips with (!). Do you have an equivalent email address for Streatham, as it sounds like it might be more productive emailing them?
I don't have an equivalent email but if you tap in the postcode of where it happened on this page, it will take you to the team that covers the area. You will be able to email them via web portal and let them know what you've got. They'll be able to assess the footage (or at least ask you questions about it) to see if any identifications can be made from it.

Hope this helps.
