Cook/Chef - For batch cooking

Postby nhyw » Tue Jul 21, 2015 10:45 am

Has anyone used a chef/cook to prepare batch cooked meals for them that are either delivered to their home or where the cook comes to your house and prepares all the food and packs it up into containers for you to reheat later?

yes and it was brilliant but I've always struggled to find people who are happy to do it.

As I understand it the costs of making it in your own kitchen and then transporting it are too much compared to what pepple are prepared to pay. We had some amazing stuff years ago but the mum cooking couldn't make the figures add up. I'd love to know if you find anyone.

Hi All,
Look no further! My husband offers flexible catering services and would be happy to come to your home to cook. He has recently started a private catering business on the side – by day, he works in advertising but he’s a secret foodie! He is an amazing chef and his repertoire includes everything from traditional British and modern European dishes (high-end cuisine or ‘comfort food’) to Indian, Thai, Mexican and Japanese. He would be equally happy to come to your home to cook in your kitchen or to prepare it at our home and deliver it to your door neatly packaged up for you.
He has a Food Hygiene Standards Certificate, is CRB-checked as he volunteers at our children’s school and can provide catering references. His recent jobs include catering for 26 people at my 40th birthday party, catering for 80 people at my mum’s 70th birthday party and running a gourmet food stall for 200 people at a local street festival. Please email or call him on stuart2005@fastmail.fm or 07957 893 582 to discuss your needs. Please let me know if you need any more information in the meantime. Many thanks!

Sounds interesting! I assume he's trained in allergen management, and would he be willing to have a conversation about our particular requirements? Thanks!

Hello, Thanks for your reply. Yes, he has done some allergen training as part of the Level 2: Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering course and he'd be very happy to have a chat about your particular requirements. Feel free to give him a call/email. Many thanks!
