Thanks everyone. After getting a couple of quotes we've decided that its probably just not economical at the moment to do a basement conversion in Streatham as we're just not sure the £ per square footage here will justify the cost.

Hi there,

In response to your post,

We are Artisans of London Limited, an extremely reputable construction company based in central London with full premium insurance. We noticed on your post that you require a small team to provide a shell-and-core finish, with the fit out to be carried by yourself and others…

Basement conversions and are complex for many reasons. We recommend that you use a reputable company like ourselves to carry out this work. We would provide you with a designated team including a manager, but our cost would be compatible to a much small company with the important advantage that at Artisans, we have premium insurances and all warranties that you require in place, as well as after-care service, and a designated project manager and a site foreman, available to be contact around the clock.

We have multiple sites that we could show you, including a basement that we are currently carrying out in Nottingham Place, in W1. The client here would be happy to give you a reference.

Please feel free to visit our website at www.artisansoflondon.com and have a look at our site diary.

We have a designated small works team and I must re-iterate that we would provide you with a fantastic, fully accredited service for the same price as a smaller firm, but with all the benefits mentioned above.

If you would like to discuss your job further, please feel free to get in touch at amy@artisansoflondon.com

Kind regards,
Amy
