Nihola Trike For Sale

Postby Abbevillemumof3 » Mon Aug 17, 2015 10:23 pm

We are selling our Nihola Trike.

It was purchased new from London Recumberts in November 2012 to help with the school run.

http://www.londonrecumbents.co.uk/family_cycling.html

It is in excellent condition and has been well maintained.

I tried three different trikes before deciding upon the Nihola and I was not disappointed. It it incredibly easy to ride and manoeuvre around because the steering is like a normal bike. The back of the bike is light and easy to shift. I felt the children were very safe in the front carrier. The ride was smooth and they always enjoyed being in there.

The carrier comes with a cushioned bench, lap belt, a Y belt suitable for under 2's and a hood. The bike comes with an integrated lock, Shimano 8 gears, Schwalbe tyres, rear rack for panniers etc

Technical Specifications
Total length: 2 meter
Total width: 89 cm/85 cm with turned front wheels
Weight: 32 kg
Max. load: 100 kg + rider
Height from cabin floor to rain hood: 104 cm
Height from child bench to rain hood: 78 cm
Transport box height: 50 cm
Max. width in cabin: 62 cm
Max. length in cabin: 88 cm

If you wish to test ride a Nihola, they are available for hour long renting with London Recumberts in both Dulwich and Battersea.

We live in Clapham, London. Due to the size of the trike, we cannot ship. The trike is in our garden at the moment and you are welcome to test ride it in our garden.

We will accept accept cash or Paypal.

I have lots more photos so please msg me and I will happily forward them.

Thank you

Thanks,

Hi Carla,

It is available. I'm so sorry I forgot to put the price. I will edit the post now.

I purchased it new for £2200 so am looking for around £1400. But we are accepting offers.

If you want to see more photos, let me know.

Thanks

thanks for your reply! i would love to see more photos, especially of the inside--we have two year old twins and i would like to get a better understanding of how they'll fit inside, along with all their toddler kit :D

we also have storage challenges so if you have a few photos of it length-wise, we might be able to get a better idea of where we might safely store it.

does the rain cover simply fold back? did you ever ride the bike in heavy london traffic? we live in Roehampton and use traditional baby bike seats, plus we have a super lightweight trailer that we pull behind my husband's bike, but I'm not entirely comfortable with them being behind him in heavier traffic. so far we've only ridden them around Putney, Richmond and Roehampton; do you feel safe with the Nihola?

thanks,
carla

Hi

I realise this post is a couple of months old but just wondering if your Nihola bike might still be for sale? We area looking to purchase a used bike as don't think we would need it for very long.

Many thanks

Hi,

It is gone, I'm afraid. I flicked it over to eBay and it went v fast.

London recumbents (Dulwich and Battersea) sometimes sell secondhand ones.

Good luck xx
