Help Carpenter Recommendation

Postby Amyfordo » Wed Aug 19, 2015 12:49 pm

We've just moved into a new house and we are looking for a reliable, recommended carpenter to fit shelving and cupboards in our alcoves and potentially building a unit in our kitchen. I'd love a recommendation from anyone who has had a good experience recently. Many thanks

Thanks just spoken to him and he sounds great, in fact so good he has a three month lead time so sadly I'm not sure we can wait that long. Thanks good to have nonetheless!

Amy, did you find someone you would recommend? I've just tried Billy too (used him before & he is great!) but he is fully booked until November so need to find someone else.

Thanks

Hi,

Amy or Tilly&Roo did either of you find anyone? We need some work done in a bedroom upstairs and it seems ridiculously hard to find a recommended carpenter.

Thanks!

Try Michal from jackdawjoinery.co.uk - he built two wardrobes at our house - very reliable and we're super happy with the quality.

Another carpenter we've used in the past is Tom from evokefurniture.co.uk - expensive but amazing quality and I found Tom and his team very pleasant to work with. (I found him through a recommendation on NappyValleyNet btw.)

Another recommendation for Michal and Jackdaw Joinery. Very good quality cupboards, very professional, on time, tidy and the price was reasonable too.
I would definitely use them again in the future.

Any more feedback on bob?
Anyone else used him?
Do carpenters supply all the wood etc then paint afterwards?
I've had a look in b and q etc. But i didn't like
the shelves there - I'm wondering where
a Carpentar would get the chunky wood from?
I'd like suspended shelves.
Any advice???
