Is your son or daughter heading off to university...

...in the next couple weeks with next-to-no experience of cooking for themselves.

If you'd like to prepare them, send them to The Cookhouse for our Teenagers Heading Off cooking course this Thursday, September 10th, and we'll show them how to prepare up to 8 easy meals they'll be able to re-create again and again.

Last night was a landmark moment in my life. My 18-year-old son cooked a meal for me - the first ever! And it was delicious. For lunch today, we both ate the left-overs he brought back with him from the class on Thursday - double whammy! I think this could be the best £100 I’ve ever spent! Emma D

Hello
My son has just left university so is a bit older - I presume that doesn't matter? He is still in a house share, will there be any meals for more than 1? He sometimes has to cook for 4.

Although we call it Teenagers Heading Off it’s suitable for any young people who cook for themselves and, as in your case, sometimes others as well.

Tomorrow we’ll be making up to 13 different recipes. Mostly they cater for 1 but there are 3 or 4 which will feed 4 or more. They are ideal for house shares or for hungry people who might want some leftovers for the next day.

Your son is very welcome and we’re sure he’d find it worthwhile.
