Views on Grove Hall & Northcote Gardens Nurseries

Postby dsb » Thu Mar 10, 2011 11:58 am

I am a mother living in Balham and have been looking for a day nursery suitable for a little girl who will be aged 1 when she needs a nursery. Having looked around several nurseries I think I have narrowed my choices to Grove Hall Nursery (Balham Grove) and Northcote Gardens (Salcott Road) but would love to hear views on these nurseries from anyone who has (or has recently had) children at either of these nurseries. Thanks so much.

My 13 month old son has recently started at Grove Hall nursery and I'm really happy with it so far. The staff are lovely and provide a very caring atmosphere. He was a little upset when I left for the first time (as is to be expected) but the staff distracted him almost immediately and he was absolutely fine when I picked him up. The second day, there were no tears at all - brilliant. He's taking his naps and eating his lunch as normal. It's all going very smoothly and I feel confident that he is being very well looked after.

I also noticed how confident and happy the other babies in his group seemed. If you want to know anything else, please feel free to message me.

Hi,

My 2 year old daughter goes to Grove Hall three days a week, she started when she was 11 months old, she loves it there. The staff is really lovely and hasn't changed since she joined, they really take care of the kids. I have observed before my daughter sees me to see how she was behaving and she is always laughing, playing, running around. She eats well there (much better than at home) and they do a wide variety of activities which gets her tired and she goes to bed earlier on those days :-). The other kids seem equally happy. I can only highly recommend it. If you have any specific questions, please e-mail.
