Hi, we are looking for a creative, intelligent awesome nanny.

My husband and I have four children, aged 1, 8, 9 and 10 - all boys. The older three are creative, intelligent and relatively self-sufficient. They are well behaved and are very helpful - they help out with the baby a great deal and know to help clear the table etc. The baby has just started walking, is used to having a nanny and has a great routine. He's a happy, outgoing boy.

My husband works full time and I currently work half a day on Wed and all day on Thurs and Fri. I am, however, about to accept a full time job which will mean I am out of the house from 8am - 7pm most days.

We are both warm, loving and creative people and like our nanny to become a member of our family and friends. We are still close friends with our previous nannies who only stopped working with us to move into different careers or because our or their circumstances changed.

I would say that the only down side is that we have just moved into a house which needs lots of renovation work. It's absolutely fine to live in (and we all are!) but not luxurious. The upside though is that we have a massive garden and our house faces a common so lots of lovely green space to play in.
We are looking for a nanny who can get stuck in and be part of our lives. You need to be fun, creative, capable and intelligent. It would be preferable (but not essential) if you are able to drive so you can use our car to collect the older boys from school / play dates. You need to be unfazed by our house not currently looking like it's from the pages of a home style magazine and see the potential in what it's going to be.

You must have experience looking after babies and be keen to take the baby to playgroups and help him develop friendships. It's very much a 2 pronged job as you have the baby all day and then from 3 pick the boys up from school and get stuck into their after school life of homework / instrument practice / cooking dinner etc.

If you're a clean freak it probably won't work as we have FOUR BOYS so whilst we keep on top of the mess, there's always going to be an element of organised chaos, in the best possible way. We love to have family parties / gatherings etc and it's far more important to us that our home is loving, warm and safe than immaculate. That said, we would still love you to be on top of the children's washing / room tidying (helping them to do it) and help us to keep the chaos to a minimum!

I have to say, I love doing it, and I want to find someone who loves it as much as I do and really enjoys being there for our children when we aren't and helping our lives to run smoothly and happily.

(we are happy for you to live in or out as you prefer)

Please drop me an email helenswan77@gmail.com if you’d like to know more. Helen xx

• Warm, caring, bubbly with a good sense of humour who really enjoys looking after children
• Flexible and reliable
• Self-starter who takes the initiative, enjoys creative play & makes things fun

• CRB and Paediatric First Aid available, ideally also childcare qualifications (e.g NVQ/NNEB)
• Can drive (not essential but highly appreciated)
• Interested in a 1.5 year commitment

Nannying Duties include:
• Sole charge of our 15month old son for 3-4 days
• Picking our daughter up from nursery at 11:30am and caring for her from lunchtime onwards during term time. Full day care of our daughter only during school holidays or if sick
• Taking the children to local children’s clubs/playgroups/local parks and organised classes
• Reading and doing creative activities
• Making the children fresh, healthy meals (lunch, snacks & sometimes dinners)
• Getting the children bathed and ready for bed
• Administering antibiotics to our son and regularly checking his temperature (our son has just been diagnosed with Autoimmune neutropenia but is otherwise healthy and always smiling)
• Some light house duties when the children nap for 2hrs (children’s laundry/keeping clothes organised, keeping the living area and children’s bedrooms tidy and stacking/emptying the dishwasher) – we have a weekly cleaner

Working hours: Tue to Thur or Tue to Fri : c. 10.30am to 7pm (for the first few weeks we may need an earlier start of 7am)
Start Date: preferably immediately, can be flexible on October or November start
We live between Wimbledon town and village (c. 8mins walk from Wimbledon station).

If the above sounds of interest, please email back (abirami.kee@gmail.com) with a short description about yourself, including your CV and if possible written references and any back-up information on relevant experience.

Note: we can also be flexible on live-in positions (we have a free double bedroom with bathroom only shared with our daughter)
