Bike shop for children to try different bikes?

Postby JoY » Mon Oct 19, 2015 10:29 pm

Hi

Can anyone recommend a good bike shop in Clapham or Wandsworth? I am looking for a bike for an eight year old and ideally, would like her to have a go on a couple of different bikes/ styles before she decides/ we buy.

Thanks so much,

Jo

You could try Everyone Bikes on Northcote Road. Good people. If you're willing to travel further afield then Pearson's Cycles in Sheen on Upper Richmond Road are excellent. That's where I've just purchased a bike for my daughter's 8th birthday.

Another recommendation for Everyone Bikes. They are really helpful and friendly - not sales people!

I have just picked my serviced bike up from the Everyone Bikes on Northcote Road and have come home determined to post a positive review on here. The service from this shop is exceptional. They are knowledgable, thoughtful, and passionate about bikes. They went to truly amazing lengths to find spare parts for my old, much loved, but now out of production, bike And then only charged me for the actual time spent on the bike, not the hours it seems to me they must have spent trying to source parts. They literally, no joke, searched all over Europe to find the right piece. I am amazed, and my bike feels like new. It hasn't felt this good since I bought it. And as someone else mentioned, they don't try to sell you anything. A good old fashioned proper service shop...this is the kind of business we need to keep the Northcote Road alive and real.

Another vote for Everyone Bikes. They were wonderful with both my 5 and 7 year olds when we went in to test & try as well as offering great advice on helmets and helping to fit the kids to ensure we had the proper fit! Really great folks!!
