Hi,
My husband pays CSA payments for maintenance on his son by his first wife. However he's just recently been made redundant and received a good package. He may not find another similar job for a while, so we will need his redundancy payment to support our family. Does anyone know if the CSA will take a percentage of his redundancy payment?
I must add that my husband has always supported his son and has never had any reluctance to pay child support, despite his ex wife's terrible behaviour and constant battles as she refuses contact for no reason. His ex wife is also a high earner, so his son will not go short.
Any advice on this matter would be appreciated, as we can't seem to find much info online about this, and would like to be prepared before contacting the CSA.
Thanks in advance.
