Hello! I am looking for a very special person to join our family.
This is a live in position in Balham. You will have your own room in a lovely large home on a private square plus all your meals. You will work 40 hours per week and I am wiIling to pay more than the average au pair wage for the right person. The position is available from the end of April.
The salary is £150 per week but this may be negotiable depending on your experience. We have 3 children aged 6,3 and almost 1.
You will work 7.45am - 10.15am and 3pm till 7pm 4 days a week.On these days I will be around and your role will be to help with breakfast time, tea time, bathtime, cooking and housework. You are therefore free to do as you wish during the day and explore this fabulous city.
On a Wednesday I will be at work and you will have sole charge of the children. You will need to walk the older two to and from school , cook the tea and do homework-reading and spellings. You will care for the baby throughout the day feeding, nappy changing, putting her down for her nap, preparing her meals.
You will be available for babysitting, normally 2 nights a week.
We also ask for 2 hours on a Saturday or Sunday morning, 7.45-9.45.
You must be a mature person with oodles of common sense , initiative and at least 20 years old.
You must have experience looking after young children with checkable references.
You must have a genuine love and interest in young children and be aware of their developmental stages.
Your english should be fluent as you will need to help with my daughter's reading and writing homework from school.
You must be able to cook wholesome family meals eg casseroles, spagetti bolongese, shepherd's pie etc.
You must be a non-smoker.
An up-to-date CRB check would be viewed favourably.
You will be required to do light housework such as sweeping, cleaning the kitchen, tidying children's bedrooms and the laundry. We have a cleaner who comes in twice a week.

As mentioned the salary is negotiable at £150 a week plus bed and board. I am willing to pay more than au pair rate.
You will receive 4 weeks paid holiday per year.
I am asking for a commitment of at least a year however with the right person it is possible to stay with us longterm and become a valued member of our family.
It is an ideal job for someone who has experience in childcare who would like to gain experience in sole charge care with the view to becoming a nanny.

If you are all of the above please email your cv to caoimhe@cunninghams.org including a photograph if possible plus details of checkable references.

I look forward to hearing from you!
