Handyman recommendation

Postby ttwall » Mon Jan 04, 2016 11:40 am

Hello,

Can anyone recommend a handyman/builder in the balham area?

I need a reasonably sized hole in a plasterboard wall filling in!

Thanks

I've been using Andy for 3 years now and he does all the maintenance on my properties in the area. Highly recommended!

I have gradually realised that a lot of the recommendations are actually from the workers themselves, who do not provide a good service but abuse the trust in this online community.

For example, I made an appointment with Andrew Dean last week. But he simply didn't not who up and ignored my phone calls and text message. Considering that I have to take time off work to meet him.

Btw, Andrew Dean is the Andy handyman in the second post above. You've warned.

Just as a followup to the above, twill and ctmum who did you end up using? I am constantly on the look for a good handyman and haven't found one and am fearful of one off recommendations based on what you've said above ctmum.

Did you end up finding someone decent and reliable?

Thank you!
