Hello,
After 14 years renting in a private sector (same flat) we have to move out, as you all know prices to rent in Battersea and Clapham are crazy... Did anyone did go through council either Lambeth or Wandsworth to get an accommodation?

I'd be very surprised if they would do anything for you, at the moment homeless families are turning up at the council and they've no where to put them. Even if if the council would help I think you would have to go through the homeless route of b&bs and hostels which arnt very nice! Are you eligible for housing benefit? That can always contribute to private renting and if your not the impure the council will say you can afford to private rent you just have to move out of the area or find a shed to live in!
