Meningitis - private boosters as 4/5 year olds

Postby mummybear » Mon Feb 22, 2016 2:23 pm

Hi there can anyone recommend a private GP practice that offers meningitis immunisations for older kids? Does anyone have any experience of it please? Thanks!

I had my daughter vaccinated last summer at a travel clinic in Clapham junction age 3 as I found travel clinics cheaper than private doctors. I believe I paid £200 in all (there are 2 shots).

I have been meaning to get my kids jabbed for 6 months, and only now am actually getting around to it - only to find there are no stocks anywhere in the country until summer! There has been such a rush on it with the recent news that the manufacturer is limiting supplies to babies getting their routine vaccinations. Best advice is to get yourself on a waiting list at a private GP near you.
