We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic nanny/housekeeper to live with our family. We have 3 young children, a girl aged 6, a boy aged 3 and our baby girl who is almost 1. You will have your own room in our beautiful 6 bedroomed home in Balham and all your meals. We will pay £350 per week. We will need you 5 days a week, 7.30am-7.30pm to include the option of 2 nights babysitting. We also request a few hours on a weekend morning, in lieu of a weekday morning.
The nanny role is mainly a shared responsilbility role as Mum is around for 4 out of 5 days. You must have a natural affinity with kids and be able to use your initiative. Are you the one who will look for fairy dwellings in the garden, while kicking the football, while playing peek-a-boo with the baby?
As well as shared responsilibilty you must also be capable of sole charge with 3 children ie getting breakfast, dropping the older 2 to and from school and minding the baby all day ie feeding, nappy change, putting down for naps. This will be required for probably one day per week.
The housekeeping role involves cleaning, organising, tidying and laundry for the home. You must be an inherently tidy and organised person who has housework experience. You will be required to cook some family meals eg shepherds pie, spagetti bolognese etc and you must be comfortable in the kitchen.
We ask that you have fluent english as you will be required to help my 6 year old with her spellings and reading homework.
We ask that you have previous experience of this type of position with checkable recent references.
Although not essential we will look favourably on anyone with recent CRB check, driving license and/or qualifications in childcare.
The position is available from the end of April but we will be flexible with the start date for the right candidate.We are asking for a commitment of at least one year and perhaps this could be a long term role with our family.
