We just booked a week in the forte village in Sardinia with 'just Sardinia' which is a massive complex with lots for children. It came highly recommended so I hope it's good!
Forte Village is a really good idea, its perfect for families and there is soo much to do as it's absolutely huge, Sovereign seem to be doing a couple of good packages at the moment, although it's probably for a late August or September departure. It is also worth thinking about ti for Summer 2017?
Enjoy!
Crete has fabulous sandy beaches, and May/Sept prices really go down, at the same time it's really hot and water is great for swimming
We usually book near Heraklion and then go to a different beach every day. You can find many hotels there on booking.com or
Just following up, whilst we liked forte, we preferred Delphina resorts in Sardinia. They have a handful of 4 and 5 start resorts. We stayed in Resort del Erica in the Liciola hotel (newly refurbished) and loved it. We booked direct but word of caution that, unlike forte, no pools were heated and they are all salt water so if you go in May you may need wet suits!
Try Tenerife's The Ritz-Carlton Abama. Not many people know that our summer is Tenerife's low season so you get some fab deals plus the Canaries is temperate all year round so never gets too hot in the summer but is a pleasant 22 -25 degrees.
