Bifold Door help

Postby wriggles » Mon Mar 07, 2016 1:30 pm

We are looking for someone to replace the lock mechanism on our bifold doors leading from kitchen to garden. We inherited them when we bought the house and as there is no branding whatsoever to help identify who did them we are bit stuck!
The handle which is part of the mechanism broke but we still did manage to open/close it until now ...it is fully seizing up on us!
Have called a few places but as they didn't install them they can't help.
Any clues where to turn next?

There are lots of manufacturers out there, but you could try a local company - Cedar Bifold - http://www.cedarbifoldcompany.com/

We have installed several of their doors and they are very helpful.

Oh! Have you looked at Ironmongery Direct (google it) - they have most types of mechanisms available - see if you can ID your one.

Look at multi point window and door furniture - you may find it there.
