Want to learn more about the EU?

Postby cdetoma » Tue Mar 08, 2016 6:24 pm

Hallo, I am a mum of three living in Earlsfield and I train charities on what the EU is, what it does and how to influence it as part of my job. I wondered if there are any fellow mums out there that feel left out of the current debate on the EU referendum because everything seems to be way above their heads and far too politicised/complicated? If you are genuinely interested in learning more about the EU in a non-judging and non-threatening environment and you wish to share your questions, concerns and hopes with other local mums then let me know as I'd like to organise some local 'EU learning and dialogue' sessions to share what I know and I hope to address some of your queries. Do let me know what you think (don't be rude please!) and if you're interested. 8-) Costanza

That's a good idea. I'm already a bit fed up with the debate being dominated by people who already have zealous views one way or another. But I know it's an important issue and I want to be well informed when it comes to the vote. It'd be good to get past the entrenched positions and consider more fully what it might mean for me and my family. I'm in Clapham - is that too far?

Thanks for your reply, it's good to know someone out there is interested! Clapham is not too far and we could perhaps meet half way on Northcote road. However, I'll wait to see if there is more interest first and then plan accordingly. So watch this space!

Best,

Cos

I would be very interested in this, as long as it is impartial!

I'm very sceptical that this isn't just political campaigning
