Looking for a local cricket club for my 7 year old

Postby luckymummy » Sun Apr 03, 2016 7:56 pm

I have a 7 year old son who is interested in learning to play cricket next term and we have seen that there is a Wandsworth Cricket club on Burntwood Lane as well as Ironsides Cricket for Juniors also around Burntwood Lane area. Does anyone have any experience with either of these clubs and could give me a little bit of feedback or thoughts on them please. Many thanks.

Hi there
My son and daughter both play cricket for Spencer Club. Very close to the other two. I think the address might be Fieldview. Just off Burntwood Lane. Have found them to be excellent.

Thank you for your reply. I have heard excellent things about Spencer club but unfortunately I didn't register my son on time and there is no space left for next term.

If South Fulham is not too far for you, the nursery school that my son attends has organised the following:

Turn and Bounce (http://www.turnandbounce.co.uk/articles ... ough-play/) will be offering Cricket in South Park every Sunday starting from April 17th. Turn and Bounce is run by two former England and Surrey Cricketers, Ian Salisbury and Alex Tudor, both of whom will be present at all the sessions.

Alex and Ian are 2 of the top coaches in England, with Ian holding an ECB Level 4 and Ian holding an ECB Level 3, and its wonderful they are using their skills and experiences with children as oppose to professional players.

1) 3 - 4 year olds (8.00am - 8.45am) - £10/session
2) 5 - 6 year olds (9.00am - 11.00am) - £20/session
3) 7 - 8 year olds (9.00am - 11.00am) - £20/session
4) 9 - 11 year olds (9.00am - 11.00am) - £20/session

Hi,
I would like to recommend Sinjun Grammarians Cricket Club located at Trinity Field, Burtntwood Lane. It is a wonderful club accommodating boys and girls of all ages and backgrounds. Both my boy and girl plays there.
Season starts around 8 May and as long as you register online (£20 for the season), training is every Sunday from 10-11.30am - drop in classes for only £5. Super value!!
Come and join us:)
