Following hollamumma's glowing recommendation I went to Tamra today. It was lovely

Incidentally, they appear to be very generous with their apple!

Certainly demonstrates the 'see-saw' of social media doesn't it?

Love the sign! And I love Tamra. They should absolutely capitalise on this free exposure, they put enough time and effort into it over the last week!

As for feeling sorry for Holamummy, you can't really have a massive rant on a forum for the sole purpose of asking for opinions and then complain if the opinions aren't to your liking. Especially when your rant goes a little off tangent and moves on to being hostile against the country the forum is based in!

Hopefully the positives that will have come out of this are that Tamra has some positive free publicity and Holamummy is able to see (due to everyone's opposing views) that maybe she is going through a tricky time as minor irritations are being blown out of proportion and perhaps she could do with some support.

Just started reading this post because I didn't know what stasi meant. Really shocked by all the nastiness being directed at Hollamomma and rampant prejudice against North Americans. Horrible bullying, unbelievable. As for Tamra, I've never been there but having worked in hospitality and run a bar myself I think if someone is paying to go to a cafe they deserve to be treated politely and helpfully and looked after not just grudgingly served. Anyone can make apple porridge at home for half the price. You pay to have a nice time and the OP certainly didn't have one and I think was probably treated rudely. She deserves an apology big time.

Hollamomma does not deserve an apology - if you read her posts (and the full text of what she actually sent to Café Tamra and then how she reported it), you'll see she's compromised her "spotless" position. Threatening to use social media to destroy a business is woeful.

Goading people with increasingly noxious and disingenuous posts, disqualifies the OP from any entitlement to victimhood. and she does seem to love herself some entitlement

The OP lied about the original incident and blackmailed the owner of the cafe. I can't see how she deserves an apology.

OP tried to destroy a great local business and attacked people personally, for something that, if anything, was very minor in the greater scheme of things. She did all of this, naming and shaming, while hiding under her NVN nickname. So this is also cowardly. If you read her posts and her exchange with the cafe, she was nasty and unreasonable. She was also disrespectful about her host country. I also can't see how she could possibly need an apology... I also went to Cafe Tamra today, first time in years, and I had the best smoothie ever, and amazing service. I will be going there more frequently now.

OP, with all your accusations of lying, don't you say in your original post that this was the 2nd time you have sent food back, and then in your diatribe against the cafe say that you have NEVER sent anything back before? Get your story straight! Liars should have good memories...

Looking forward to trying the porridge one day!

Perhaps this thread has now ran its course?

No need to dig Hollamumma in a bigger hole than she already is in because then it is vile and borderline on bullying.

We have all agreed she was wrong. No need for more.

Didn't anyone ever tell you people it's wrong to gang up on people? Would you behave like this at the school gates? The OP was complaining about an experience that obviously upset her that happened to her in a local restaurant, a commercial business. What is wrong with you all??

It's not very clear what, if anything, happened to this Walter Mitty type character.

Hi, Folks

I'd like to take a little time to thank everyone on this thread who has shown their support for Café Tamra, it truly has meant a lot to us. Also, we have noticed quite a few new faces come in over the last few days or so, much to our delight, so thanks for coming by to see us. It has been wonderful to meet you all. It has also been fantastic to read all the positive comments you've had about Tamra

We appreciate all of our customers, and those who might make a complaint no less so. Feedback is really important in our business, and so we take it all (well, most of it) quite seriously. It's feedback, both positive and negative, that allows us to improve our business and provide a better product and service to you, our valued customers. So, please, keep it up! If you have a valid concern we shall do our utmost to address it at the time, and after the fact if that's necessary. We have had, and welcome, feedback in person, online and even hand written in the post (yes, we were surprised, too) and we shall always strive to maintain an environment at Tamra where people feel they can openly comment and complain, if needs be.

As a final word, I thought I knew a bit about the Stasi, but after reading more about them... oh my. I'm fairly sure that even on her worst day Beata doesn't quite go as far as Zersetzung (thank you, Google). I'll review more of the CCTV and see if I can spot her silently creeping up and moving the sugar whilst you are unaware.

Thanks, all. As worried as we first were by this episode, we have subsequently had some great fun, thanks to those on here.

Cheers, and we hope to see you soon, at Café Tamra.

xx
