The Cookhouse - teaching your au pair to cook

Postby Lovefood » Thu May 19, 2016 10:40 am

Do you, your nanny or au pair want to feed your children completely home-made food?
Then book on to Cooking for Children at The Cookhouse.
It is on Friday 27th May, and we’ll be teaching up to 8 au pairs, mums and nannies how to cook an impressive repertoire of made-from-scratch meals for children. On the menu will be our quick and easy tomato sauce, an authentic and delicious ragu, a scrumptious traybake, fish pie, lasagna, stir fry and our ever popular and easy homemade chicken and salmon goujons. Incredibly, we pack all of this, and more, in to two and a half ours.
Do get in touch if you have any questions - info@thecookhousebattersea.com

Hi, Kinka
Thank you for your question.
Over two and a half hours we cook an astonishing amount. We do a ragu and a tomato sauce, which then form the basis of other meals (like lasagne). We cook a super quick chicken and pak choi stir-fry which includes really fresh ingredients but also ideas for flavour substitutions so that you can adapt it to try and broaden, yet appeal, to your children's tastes. One of our favourite recipes is for our chicken and salmon goujons which you can make ahead and then later on bake in the oven so the you have hands free when you are busy. We do some more basics like a foolproof white sauce and a cheese sauce, we make omelettes, another truly delicious quick chicken dish (using the tomato sauce we made earlier) and a meal-in-one tray bake which you'll enjoy as much as your children. Also a very easy fish pie which some of our customers tell us is their children's favourite meal. It does appeal to young children, but also my not so young husband, too!
I hope this helps you. Any more questions, do let us know.
Many thanks,
Stephanie
