Personally I'd put Crittal doors or windows into a 1930s or later house but not a Victorian house. For Victorian houses i'd either go timber and glass to be in keeping with the period or ultramodern. Seems a bit odd to put in something that is period style but the wrong period iyswim?

I love them, architecturally interesting and without the maintenance of wood. Personally I think they will stand the test of time for longer that most of the bi folds or sliding doors that are being installed. Try Govette Windows, word of warning - the lead times are v long.

Hi.

We are Cedar Bifold and manufacture crittal style windows and doors locally in Wandsworth. Please visit our website at www.cedarbifoldcompany.com for more details. In terms of style, from experience they are more than just a trend and are a long lasting feature that wont go out of style! I have attached a photo of a recent crittal style door that we installed in Richmond. We also have some on show in our office just off Garratt Lane should you wish to pop in.

I think they are stunning to look at. But there is a big difference between crittall and "crittall style".
Do it.
