Highlights

Postby alias » Sun Jul 03, 2016 5:29 pm

Hello everyone,
I have naturally dark blonde/light brown hair. But not in a good way. I would like it to be warmed up and lightened but not so much that I have obvious re-growth. I have had so may different types of highlights and I am never quite happy with the results. Perhaps I just don't know what to ask for. Does anyone have any helpful suggestions?

Hi there,
I know just the person - Sarah at London Proper. It's her salon and she is nothing short of a hair genius.
From what you are describing you're after 'balyage' ... SO much better than foil highlights for a natural regrowth.
Go in a see Sarah before you book an appointment and she will have a chat with you to explain to benefits of balyage (essentially, she paints on the highlights so it's more 'random/natural looking'), no obligation but you'll want it done as soon as possible.
I have never been so happy with my hair and I've been to all the top salons.
Check out all the amazing reviews on Wahanda too.

Many thanks for your reply, BatterseaSquareMum. That sounds wonderful and I have heard of the balyage thing. Thanks again, I'll get booking in

I'm after the same thing! Sarah at London Proper sounds great but is a little far from me.

Does anyone know of a hairdresser near the Northcote/Nightingale area who can do balayage? Or otherwise get good natural looking highlights?
