Scraped the side of the car: where to get it fixed?

Postby Rose@abambo » Thu Aug 11, 2016 3:23 pm

This isn't strictly 'Home and Garden' but I don't know where else to put a post about cars...

Advice on where to get my car tidied up greatly appreciated! My brother borrowed it and scraped the whole way down the side.

I was looking at Springbok Garage in Tooting but I wondered if anyone knows anything about mobile repairers, or has any advice!

Thanks

Rose

Is it just paintwork damage or dented?

We used ChipsAway in Wimbledon

Great value and they picked the car up and dropped it back.

As Goldhawk wrote above, though, it depends on if it's scratched or dented...

Good luck

We've used springbok in tooting and they were good. Also used Chelsea bridge autocentre who were fine too - and cheaper than some other places we looked at.
Good luck!

Thankyou!
I've just been out to look at it and it is slightly dented along the wheel arch as well as just paintwork.
It also lost all its hub caps recently, so the poor girl is looking pretty sad these days.
I will give Chips Away and Chelsea Bridge a call (and I got a quote already from Springbok).
Just getting in to Nappyvalleynet, so far it has been brilliantly useful, I wonder what I did before I discovered you lot!

I just called Tony from Chips Away and it went to a foreign ring tone, and his message said he'd be away until 6th September.
GOOD FOR HIM! Love it when business owners have a healthy work-life balance! I hope Tony is bronzing himself nicely on a Spanish beach.

I would highly recommend D & M Coachworks at 40-42 Lydden Rd, just off Garrett Lane Phone: 020 8874 3351 They did a great job for us
