For sale: Trikidoo tricycle

Postby soggs » Mon Sep 05, 2016 6:22 pm

£575 or nearest offer.

For sale: Navy blue Trikidoo tricycle for adult to transport 2 children. This is a rare opportunity as they are no longer manufactured and mine was one of the last ones made.

See picture for an example of how they look with two children on the back.

I bought my much-loved Trikidoo in 2011 to take my son to nursery and further afield. I am reluctantly selling it as he’s too big for it now. It’s great fun to use and my son and his friends loved travelling around on it.

It’s in very good condition with only a couple of tiny dents to one of the read mudguards.

The Trikidoo has Shimano gears and measures approximately 83cm wide x by 180cm long & 104cm high. It has a really comfortable large sprung seat for the adult. The rear child seat fits two children and has an adjustable 3 point harness for each child. The storage bag under the rear seat is huge & can be used to store helmets, book bags, lunch boxes, etc. There is also a klickfix fitting for a basket on the front handle bars. I am also including a custom made cover to keep your children's legs warm on colder days.

if you have any questions or would like to view or test drive please contact me. Tricycles are a lot different to ride than a normal bike!

Please note that collection is from Hampton Court area. The Trikidoo will NOT fit in a car... you will need to arrange a van or trailer to collect - or you could even cycle it away!

I also have a heavy duty motorbike lock and a large detachable front basket with a carrying handle if you would be interested in these.

Hi,
Are you still selling?
Also, I have not used a tricycle before. You mentioned they are different to ride. What would you say are the main differences / Advantages or disadvantages?
Thanks,
Maria

Hi Maria

Thanks for your message. I'm afraid I have sold the trike already.

For your information though I would say that the main advantage of a trike is it's stability so you don't need to lean it against anything when you stop and get off - so the children are safe on the back. Also I liked the fact that the children are sat close behind you rather than being out in front so if you are edging out into traffic you don't have to push the children out before you can see as you would with a bucket type bike.

I loved my Trikidoo and would definitely recommend it. It is a bit different to ride than a normal bike because you steer more with your arms than with your body. But it just takes one or two goes to feel natural with it.

Hope that answers your questions!
